Junior Firefighter Program
The Gorham Fire Department is proud of our Junior Firefighter Program. The purpose of this program is to:
- Provide students of local high schools (public or private) and students of the WRVC Public Safety Program (living within the residential requirements as defined by SOP#100) with the opportunity to become a probationary member of Gorham Fire/EMS;
- Provide students with training and learning opportunities in a safe and supervised learning atmosphere as active members of Gorham Fire/EMS;
- Provide experience in learning, teamwork, and education which will contribute to the overall maturity and personal growth of the Junior Member; and
- Provide Gorham Fire/EMS a “feeder system” of experienced and well-trained members.
